We are the Manheim Central Democratic Committee: a growing collection of volunteers, who believe that democracy shines brightest when everyone is provided with a fair opportunity to participate. That’s why it is our mission to offer our community a locally grown, grassroots network of democratically-minded folks, like you, with ways to get involved and make a positive impact on the lives, livelihoods, and wellbeing of the 4,000 constituents in our district.

What We Do
Our committee has a wide array of functions, so here’s a list of ways we strive to serve our Manheim Central neighbors:

Electing strong democratic candidates

Informing voters on issues that are critical to our district

Participating in community cultural events

Offering reliable and factual voter information

Assisting local candidates with the complexities of election procedures

Providing financial support and fundraising for candidate campaigns

Maintaining open lines of communication between elected officials and local citizens

Curating and maintaining accurate voter lists

Training new committee members, campaign workers, and poll watchers

Establishing Democratic Party representation at polling places

Ensuring our district’s polling places maintain a welcoming, non-partisan atmosphere

That’s wonderful! We’re always looking for volunteers who might be interested in just about anything from running as Democratic candidates for local offices, to making donations to cover campaign costs, and even offering a helping hand to local charities between campaign seasons. We’re a growing community, so the possibilities are endless.
